Her Universe: Dr Who and Star Trek Shirts!!!

I know I just posted about new Her Universe shirts a few days ago, but I didn't know then that they were going to be adding even more awesome SyFy shows to the mix! These are due to come out on July 11th, so keep an eye out for them.

Yes, that's right, Dr, Who shirts!!!

And Star Trek shirts!!!

I really want all of them, especially the I've Got A Crush On Crusher shirt! As I've mentioned before, Wil Wheaton is the reason I got into Star Trek, so this is totally the shirt for me.
I'm still pretty new to Dr Who. I've seen the first 2 seasons of the new ones? As in Doctors 9 and 10. But so far I'm really loving it. I haven't got to River Song yet, but I'm sure that when I do, I'll want these shirts. I already want them, even though I don't understand them.

What do you think? Do you like the first shirts of the new line? What would you like to see in the future? Drop me a line and let me know.

New Lego Games And Game Movies

You may not know this, but I suck at video games. I don't have very good hand/eye coordination so I have trouble jumping and shooting at things. I'm not good at combos and prefer to button mash. I'm actually pretty good at button mashing. I need games to have infinite lives if I ever hope to finish the game. Sometimes it just becomes too hard and I give up. Don't get me wrong, I love video games, I just suck at them.

Then The world was introduced to LEGO games. Games that are made for children are totally up my skill ally. I've played all the Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Batman LEGO games and I love them.

Lucky for me, two more games are about to be released!

I am really looking forward to this game! I loved playing as Batman before and I can hardly wait to be wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern! I also hope that I get to play as Lex Luthor as well. I could care less about Superman, but I'm sure he'll be fun to play too.

I'm really glad that they stuck to Gotham and just added all the other characters.

ehehehehehehehehe! This looks awesome! I want to play as Gandalf! I love how closely they've stuck to the movie, but incorporated them being LEGO so well. I hope they come out with an actual LEGO set that comes with the Balrog!

Is it just me or is it weird that the characters can suddenly speak? I liked when they mimed everything, but the voices are fun too.

Speaking of video games, have you seen the latest Disney trailer for Wreck-It Ralph? But Braeby, you ask, what does Disney have to do with video games?
well, watch and find out.

I really want to see this movie, mostly for the villain support group! I think it's great that Disney has gotten the rights to use all those other characters for this. I can't wait to see what else they put in. I also think it will be neat to see how they show different video games through out the years.

Marvel Jewelry

Oh Geek Jewelry, you make me so happy!
I'm so excited the retailers are finally getting that women are geeks too. Finally they re making things that fit with both our femininity and our geekdom. The newest part of this is Marvel Jewelry.
Marvel and 1928 have teamed up to bring us some awesome earrings, rings and necklaces!

Spiderman

As much as I like the Spiderman jewelry, it kind of reminds me less of the comic book hero and more of jewelry you'd find around Halloween.

Captain America

knowing my face as well as I do, these earrings would look silly on me, but I still really want them. I'd probably make them into studs and use the rest of the links to make bracelet. Also, I'd probably turn the necklace into a hair clip.

Wolverine

I totally love these earrings! I want to make my own Wolverine costume at some point and these would go perfectly with it.

The Punisher

The earrings totally scream Punisher to me, but the ring is a little hard to tell. Unless you get a close look at it, it's going to be hard to see the skull logo. Then again, unless you know who the Punisher is, you probably won't understand the earrings either.

Thor

I really, really, really, really, realllllllyyyyy want these Thor earrings! How cute are they with Mjolnir and the lightning bolts? Even the Mjolnir ring is awesome!

While researching this, I came across these other great earrings from Think Geek.

These are totally more my style. I love a good pair of studs. Yes, I know Batman isn't Marvel, but he's awesome, so I don't care :P

So, what piece do you like? Would you buy them for yourself/significant other? Do you think I could pull any of these off? Drop me a line and let me know

Thanks to Fashion Tips From Comic Strips, Think Geek, Comic Alliance, and 1928 for helping us girly geeks show our Marvel Pride!

Her Universe - New BSG And SW Shirts

Ok, you all know my obsession with Her Universe. I mean, I practically do a new post on them every time they release something new... Well, maybe practically isn't the right work, always is probably better. I can't help it if geeky clothes for girls makes me super excited! Plus, I'm on their mailing list, so I'm always in the know.

It's not just about Star Wars this time, although there are a few more wonderful Star Wars shirts.
Check out their new Battlestar Galactica and Warehouse 13 shirts! These won't be released until July 11th, so it'll give you a few weeks to save up.

It's so hard to decide which ones I want... all of them is probably the best answer. Well, at least the BSG ones. I haven't gotten into Warehouse 13 yet, but I'm sure when I do, I'll want that one too. If you're thinking about ordering the top, burn out, So Say We All t-shirt, be warned. Burn out means that it's see through. I learned that the hard way with my Star Wars burn out t-shirt (as seen below). I still love it, but I have to make sure I have something to wear under it. It is pretty neat to be able to add your own colour to it though. The only thing I don't like about these shirts is that they're all grey and white; 2 of my worst colours, they totally wash me out. I would've much preferred some colour, but that's just me.

They have also just released more Star Wars shirts as well

The children's shirtscome in XXL, so they might fit some of you smaller ladies out there. As for the rest of us, maybe if we ask nicely enough, they'll make them in our sizes too.

There are also a few new charms for the charm bracelet! I'm super excited about this because I love my SW charm bracelet!

So, what do you think? Should I buy more SW and BSG clothes? that's a silly question, isn't it? Perhaps I should ask, which ones you think I should get? Let me know.

Another reason to tune into G&S is for Wil Wheaton

Yes, I said Wil Wheaton. He has been one of my geeky chrushes for many a year. I will honestly admit that he was the reason I got into Star Trek. As far as I'm concerned, he's only gotten cuter with time and I love his sense of humor and use of foul language. Every other Friday he brings us Table Top

Wil Wheaton, awesome geeky guests, board games, crazy banter... what's not to love.

Hobbes And Bacon - A New Generation Of Calvin And Hobbes

Calvin and Hobbes... I truly believe that they are essential to growing up. Not only do you have a kid and his stuffed tiger reeking havoc in ways that I wish I could've as a child, but also you have the language of grown-ups. Calvin's imagination has inspired me to keep on believing as I get older.
I'm certainly not the only person that this comic has inspired. Pants Are Overrated decided to make some of their own Calvin and Hobbes comics, but with a bit of a twist.

Meet Bacon, the daughter of Calvin and Susie

Doesn't it just make you tear up a little bit? I know I did. The thought of a whole new generation of childhood wonder and love is a beautiful thing.

Thanks Pants Are Overrated, you did good.
