New Lego Games And Game Movies

You may not know this, but I suck at video games. I don't have very good hand/eye coordination so I have trouble jumping and shooting at things. I'm not good at combos and prefer to button mash. I'm actually pretty good at button mashing. I need games to have infinite lives if I ever hope to finish the game. Sometimes it just becomes too hard and I give up. Don't get me wrong, I love video games, I just suck at them.

Then The world was introduced to LEGO games. Games that are made for children are totally up my skill ally. I've played all the Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Batman LEGO games and I love them.

Lucky for me, two more games are about to be released!

I am really looking forward to this game! I loved playing as Batman before and I can hardly wait to be wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern! I also hope that I get to play as Lex Luthor as well. I could care less about Superman, but I'm sure he'll be fun to play too.

I'm really glad that they stuck to Gotham and just added all the other characters.

ehehehehehehehehe! This looks awesome! I want to play as Gandalf! I love how closely they've stuck to the movie, but incorporated them being LEGO so well. I hope they come out with an actual LEGO set that comes with the Balrog!

Is it just me or is it weird that the characters can suddenly speak? I liked when they mimed everything, but the voices are fun too.

Speaking of video games, have you seen the latest Disney trailer for Wreck-It Ralph? But Braeby, you ask, what does Disney have to do with video games?
well, watch and find out.

I really want to see this movie, mostly for the villain support group! I think it's great that Disney has gotten the rights to use all those other characters for this. I can't wait to see what else they put in. I also think it will be neat to see how they show different video games through out the years.

Thanks to Geekologie and Look At This Frakking Geekster for keeping us all in the gaming loop

The Quest For Lego R2-D2

Oh R2-D2, how do you always end up getting into trouble? Granted, you always seem to save the day, but not without trouble first.

I love all the fun little cameos in this; Indiana Jones, the shadow of Darth Vader, Jawas... Not to mention the AT-AT, space slug, R2 hitting on R2-KT. The amusement park at the end is my favorite. I wish that place actually exsisted. I mean with all the other stunts George Lucas has pulled, I'm surprised he hasn't opened his own theme park. I would totally eat lightsaber cotton candy and go on the Tunnel of Vader Love!

Anyhoo, this video was actually created to advertise a game for Lego.com called The Quest For R2-D2, where you can play as 4 different characters on 15 different levels.

It's a few years old now, but I just heard about it for the first time today! You can try it out or other Star Wars games here.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to want to work on my MAC, so if you play it, you'll have to let me know how awesome it is. Or you can tell me it sucks and then I won't feel left out :P

Either way, I'm off to play Lego Clone Wars on the Wii.

Thanks to Sparkle Sugar for loving R2-D2 as much as I do and Brickpedia for loving Lego!

Lego Star Wars - Bombad Bounty

This is a great video, despite it starring Jar Jar Binks. I know, but watch it first before you judge it. If it helps, he doesn't say anything in the entire video.
Go on... watch it... I'll wait...

ehehehehehe.... so cute!
Poor Vader and Boba, they tried so hard...
I love the Indiana Jones cameos, especially when the big boulder rolls by in the background and smuches Boba Fett. I also love that the Wampa threw Jar Jar all the way from Hoth back to Tatooine.
The CGI was so well done; I loved seeing all the pieces and spokes of the AT-AT as it passed.

Thanks to DBSW who first posted this and I didn't look at it and then Great White Snark, who gave me a second chance that I'm glad I took.

Halloween On Sesame Street... (I Mean Chrurch St.)

You might remember awhile back I had a post on helping me pick out a Halloween costume.
Well, only 2 people voted and only 1 of them were actually for any of the costumes that I had picked out. Sorry Andrew, but I couldn't find the Wolverine costume :(
Actually, I had a really hard time finding any of the costumes from that post. In the end, I bought the only one that I could find.

Big Bird

Yes, that's right. I went as Big Bird for Halloween.
I felt a little silly at first, but then I realized something; I'm freakin' adorable as Big Bird!

The stockings were my favorite part of this costume, although I wish they were full stocking instead of stay ups. There's something a little weird about showing bare leg when dressed up as a Muppet.

I also love the flapper-ness of this outfit. (get it? flapper...bird...)

This year's special guests (who are the same as last year) included Eric as a cat

and Dr. Ron, MD

or maybe he's a vet?

Don't forget to check his ears.

Prognosis? I'm a love bird!

Oh no! The Cat and the Bird have gotten loose!

Looks like the cat just needed some love too!

(This is Sesame Street after all)

Then we headed out to the street
Church Street, not Sesame Street, although it sure felt like it at some points! Apparently Muppets were the thing to be this year!

There was not one, but two other Big Birds that we ran into!

Shiva here taught us the importants of accepting all religion

These talking cupcakes were adorable!

Pyramid Head told us the the shape of the day was a triangle

These Jedi and Sith taught us what the different in lightsaber colour was

Sailor Mercury was just as sweet a pie

And lego man... well lego man looked uncomfortable and didn't move very well, teaching us that having a kick-ass costume doesn't always work to your benefit!

All and all it was a fun year. So, what should I be next year ;)

May The LEGO Be With You

If you've been following me for a time you know that I love LEGO and Star Wars. So when I found this video yesterday I couldn't stop giggling like the geeky girl that I am.

Over the years, I've actually tried my had at stop motion animation, and frankly, I suck at it. Big time. So for me to watch this and see how seamless it is, I have to say I'm a totally awed and slightly jealous ;)
Good going guys, good going!

Lego Star Wars Pens

You may have seen these already, but that doesn't mean that they are any less epic! When I first found out about Lego Star Wars years ago, I was pumped. My friends and I would buy the Episode I Legos and have fun little lightsaber dules between Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jin in the local McDonald's. Since then, they have released games (I love my DS Star Wars Lego game) and more toy sets.
Then I found these bad boys!
Even better that that though, one day I stepped away from my desk at work, only to return to find this:

A R2-D2 Lego pen!!!
My boyfriend had come across them and knowing that I loved Star Wars, ordered this for me! It's awesome! The ink is blue and it writes pretty nicely. His legs can get in the way sometimes, but I just move them aside. I enjoy taking him apart and reorganizing his little Lego pieces.
I only knew that Darth Vader, Yoda and R2 were out, but recently I've found that there are others as well.

There's Chewbacca

A Tusken Raider

C-3PO

and this cute little Rebel Pilot (possibly Red 5?)

I want them all!
