Geek Girls of all Kinds Need Love Too

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, these fine geeky ladies are looking to make their ultimate love connections. Although each have very different expectation for the nerdy love of their lives, both must be commended for their creativity and passion.

First off we have Amy Lee-Radigan with her love for Time Lords in "Nerdy Girls Need Love Too"

Now wasn't that cute? I mean, I don't know a lot about Doctor Who, but I'm sure there are many a nerd out there who would be willing to give her a sonic screwdriver.

Next up we have Meekakitty with her Star Trek love song "Star Trek Girl"

Yes, you will have this song stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Any guy who goes for this girl better make sure that he can keep up with that little bundle of energy. I don't think she stopped bouncing up and down at any point in this video.

It's always great to see geek girls getting out there and telling the world that they want a boy who will appreciate their better, geekier qualities.
So whether you're the kind of girl who love Doctor Who, Star Trek or Batman, be proud of what you love. As for me, dear readers, well you know what kind of girl I am.

Thanks to Geekologie for loving geeky girls

Captain America and X-Men: First Class Trailers

I didn't watch the Superbowl.
I'm sure that isn't a big shock to anyone, not only do I not have cable, but I'm also not really interested in sports unless I'm actually there. The one thing I did miss out on were the great commercials and trailers.
Captain America to be exact.

But thanks to Look At This Frakking Geekster, I was not to miss out.

OMG!! I can't wait for this Movie!!!

Shortly after that I came across the trailer for X-Men: First Class on French The Llama

I'm super excited that the Hellfire Club is going to be in it!

I really want to get excited about X-Men but there's a part of me that still worries that it will be like the other ones... shutter...
I doubt it will be though. Marvel has really stepped up it's game when it comes to movies; so hopefully we won't end up with anymore bad ones. I'm putting my faith in you Marvel, please don't let me down.

Han And Leia - A Romantic Comedy

If this were an actual movie, I would totally go see it.
Oh wait... it is :P
But seriously though, that would make a great romantic comedy and I just happen to love that genre. Not to mention that the voice over was perfectly placed and seemed to be made for this trailer and not "You've Got Mail"

She was a Princess with rebellious ties,
He was a scoundrel who was only in it for himself

hehehe...

I guess while we're on the topic of Star Wars romantic comedies, we could do a whole bunch

She was a Senator who wanted peace for her planet
He was a Jedi apprentice forbidden to fall in love

She was the Emperor's Hand, sworn to revenge his death
He was the Jedi who helped bring him down
They were sworn enemies that fate could not keep apart

She was a slave dancer for a mobster Hutt
He was a bounty hunter who loved the chase...

He was a gambler who lost his ship
He was a scoundrel with an eye for easy money
could there bromance last in the face of the empire?

She was a Princess of a lost planet
He was a farm boy from a far off world
What would happen when they found out they were twins?

That last one is just too weird :P

Little Vader Trying To Use The Force

Oh Little Vader, you are just too cute!

Like yourself, I have spent countless hours of trying to use the force on things
(mostly when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to get up to get something or on automatic doors, you know, same as everyone else)

Harley Quinn Bathing Suit

Oh geeky bathing suits, how I love thee!
I've been thinking about geeky bathing suits for along time, seems I'm not the only one.
Meet Pyro-The-Maniac, a deviantart user who has not only come up with the idea of geeky bathingsuits, but has actually made one!

Oh yes, a Harley Quinn bikini!!! How awesome is that?
Not only is she cool enough to have made her own swimsuit (and look amazing in it), but she's also a kick-ass cosplayer.
You can check out her album here.
My personal favorite (besides the awesome bikini) is Ash from Evil Dead!!

Thanks to Fashionably Geek for bringing this to my attention

Star Wars Minimalist Posters

I'm not usually one for the whole minimalist movement. Often I find it just looks lazy.  Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the movement, it's just not to my usual taste.
These posters by Rafal Rola, however, have me rethinking that.

Check these bad boys out in all their minimalist glory!

Unlike some minimalist art, you can pick out who each represents right away.
My favorites are Boba Fett, Darth Maul and R2-D2
What about you?
